Please describe your encounter: The year was 1976 we lived on Indian Creek near Virgie, KY. I am a minister and often called to preach in funerals. It was (I think) in October I remember the weather was beginning to turn cool at night. It happened that I was called to preach in a funeral in the night service at Marison funeral home in Martin, KY. After the service was over my wife and I started back home. We went up left Beaver Creek on State Route 1428 as it was a shorter route to where we lived. We went through Price, KY, between Price and Wheelwright was several miles that there was no houses on the highway side. Although there were some houses along the railroad which was 2 or 3 hundred yards from the highway. About 3 miles beyond Price, KY. As we went along, our lights showed something going at a rather fast walk in the middle of my lane. As we got closer, we could see this creature real well. It stood 7 or more feet tall, was broad shouldered, and had long shaggy hair from the top of its head all the way to its feet. I moved over to the left lane and slowed down to about 10 to 12 mph. I tried to see its face but it just looked straight ahead. It acted like nobody was anywhere in the world.
My wife and I both saw this creature quite well. It didn’t make any noise but my wife rolled down the window on her side of our car to get a better look. She said it smelled real bad. As I said, the stretch of road at this place was about 5 miles long with no houses. This is the first and only time we ever saw anything like this and for many years we didn’t tell anyone for fear they would think we were crazy. We are Christians and I am a minister, I have no reason to lie about a thing like this.

Describe the creature with detail: It stood about 7 or more feet tall, was broad shouldered and had long shaggy hair from the top of its head all the way to its feet. I tried to see its face but it just continued to look straight ahead.

Additional Info: Area, Sounds, Etc.: We were in a straight stretch with no houses. Had a strong musty smell.
